Questions parents ask
Which language should my child start with?
Most families choose Mandarin, the language taught in most schools and used on the HSK exam. Families with Hong Kong or Guangdong roots often add Cantonese. We decide together at the free consultation.
My child already hears Chinese at home. Is this for us?
Yes. Heritage speakers often understand more than they can say, read or write. Lessons build on what they already have.
Do you teach in our home?
Yes, in-home lessons across Miami-Dade neighborhoods such as Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Key Biscayne and Brickell. Online lessons are available anywhere.
Can you help with my child’s school Mandarin class?
Yes. Lessons can follow your child’s school course, homework and tests, including AP Chinese, IB Chinese and HSK preparation.
Can parents take lessons too?
Yes. Parents can join their child’s lesson or book their own Mandarin, Cantonese or English lessons.
Simplified or traditional characters?
Both are possible. Most schools and exams use simplified characters with pinyin; traditional characters suit many Cantonese-speaking families.
